Euroafrica
The total population of Africa is about 813 million inhabitants. The annual rate of increase is 2.69% pa in the sub-Saharan area (the highest in the world in relation to the estimate of the population increase over the next 20 years estimated at 1.1% per year). The Lions Club International is currently present in Africa with 4 Multi Districts (10 sub-districts) and 6 Districts. In total there are 825 Clubs and 18,000 members. In comparison: in Europe, out of a total population of around 701 million, Lions can count on 275,000 members in 9,476 clubs.
It must be ascertained, if the available personnel is sufficiently trained.
- Who responds entirely to the project and who handles the necessary money?
- Coordination with related ministries and other organizations.
- Preparation of suitable designs.
- Project management.
- Establish a financial plan that includes the contribution of the African district.
- After completion of the project, a report must be sent to all partners.
After this preliminary work, the Euro-African committee is informed with an official project proposal. The committee will act as an agency and ask for financial assistance from all European districts. EAC aims to create a real association and not a sponsorship.

EAC aims at good cooperation with all African districts.
